Lisa Panzarella, MA, LPCC
Lisa Panzarella provides online EMDR and IFS therapy to clients throughout Colorado. She is an EMDR therapist and has completed Level 1 training in Internal Family Systems (IFS).
You may understand why you feel stuck and still experience the pain in your body, relationships and nervous system.
I help teens and adults throughout Colorado through secure telehealth using EMDR, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness and somatic approaches. My specialties include trauma, betrayal and attachment wounds, anxiety, shame, relationship patterns and the experiences of highly sensitive and neurodivergent people.
I have completed IFS Level 1 training and am trained in EMDR through the Maiberger Institute. I am currently accepting new Colorado telehealth clients, with insurance and private-pay options available.
Does this resonate with you?
You know the life you want, yet it seems miles away. Deep down you know you are capable of creating the love, life, career, and relationships you desire, but everyday living keeps you away from your dream. You try to be grateful, and the weight of modern living and the old voices in your head keep you stuck.
"I'm not good enough."
"I'm not worthy of love."
"I don't know what to do."
You feel lost, living with a desire that longs to be ignited, to be lived. No one is coming to lift you up, and hope fades. To mask the pain, you:
Distract yourself with work
Spiral into addictive behaviors
Beat yourself up
You Are Not Alone
These reactions are not evidence that you are broken. Many began as intelligent ways of protecting yourself, belonging, or surviving experiences that felt overwhelming.
Over time, those same strategies can leave you feeling anxious, exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of who you really are.
Through online EMDR and IFS therapy in Colorado, we can gently explore what is keeping you stuck, process the experiences beneath your symptoms, and help you reconnect with your own clarity, compassion, and strength.
You Deserve to Thrive. I Can Help.
Hi, I'm Lisa (she/her)
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate an EMDR therapist with IFS Level 1 training.
I am based in Paonia and provide telehealth therapy to adults and teens across Colorado.
With more than fourteen years of experience in emotional wellness, I understand the weight of modern life and the particular challenges experienced by highly sensitive people.
My work integrates EMDR, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, somatic tools, creativity, humor, and self-compassion.
Together, we will approach your experiences with curiosity rather than judgment - helping you understand the parts of you that adapted, the experiences that shaped them, and the life you want to create now.

Thich Nhat Hanh
“The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.”
My approach
It's important for you to know that I approach therapy from a non-judgmental and empathetic perspective. I believe that every individual is unique, and therefore, I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs and goals. I value open and honest communication, so please feel free to express any concerns or questions you may have throughout our sessions. Therapy is a process, and I believe in the value of a confidential therapeutic relationship. It's important to be patient and kind to yourself as we work through your challenges. I am here to facilitate the therapeutic/healing process, and I look forward to embarking on this journey together.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR can help the brain and body process painful or overwhelming experiences that continue to affect your emotions, relationships, and everyday life. I provide EMDR therapy through telehealth across Colorado, with careful preparation, collaboration, and pacing.
Internal Family Systems Therapy
Internal Family Systems, or IFS, helps us understand the different “parts” within us - including the critic, protector, achiever, caretaker, or frightened younger part. As an IFS Level 1-trained therapist, I help you approach these parts with curiosity and compassion rather than shame.
Whole-Person Care
You are more than a diagnosis, symptom, or difficult chapter. Our work may incorporate mindfulness, somatic awareness, creativity, self-compassion, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt therapy, and Motivational Interviewing according to your needs.
I bring curiosity and humility to every therapeutic relationship. I recognize that we all carry blind spots, including therapists. I will work collaboratively to understand how your family, culture, identity, ancestry, relationships, and lived experiences have shaped your world.
Cultural Humility
Reconnect With Yourself
You do not have to force, shame, or perfect yourself into healing.
Whether you are looking for an IFS therapist in Colorado, online EMDR therapy, or a compassionate space to understand what keeps you stuck, our first conversation can help determine whether we are a good fit.

At the young age of 77, you are only the 2nd person with whom I have felt I could be honest with my feelings in a counseling environment. The 1st person was a professor of religion and psychology at Baylor Univ...
You two are high up there together in my esteem for the guidance you have provided me in a time of real need!
“Thank you” is not enough!!

"You are definitely an important part of why this experience is working so well for me, Lisa.
You ask key questions. You validate my progress, not with empty “congratulations!” or vapid “way to go!” clichés, but with keen observations that signal significant growth actions that I can reflect further upon.

"You helped me in so many ways. You became my lifeline when everything was so dark. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
